ABOUT
About this site
Helping people who drive a road for the first time understand the route before they set off.
What we cover
We describe routes from Matsuyama Airport and ferry ports to sightseeing spots in Ehime Prefecture, Japan, split into points from start to finish. The articles are for people who come from outside Ehime and drive unfamiliar roads in a rental car or their own car.
There are four categories: from the airport, from ferry ports, accident-prone places, and easy-to-miss places. We will add more.
Why we split routes into points
We split each route into points such as "where to turn", "where roads merge" and "where to enter the car park", and number them from 1. The numbers will be the same as the chapter numbers of the driving videos we publish later, so you can jump from a point you read about to that scene in the video.
How we check
Roads, parking and travel times are checked against official sources from road administrators and facilities, and the sources are listed at the end of each article. Each sentence keeps apart what the documents say, what official guidance says, and what the operator confirmed by driving. SeeHow we check articles for details.
About the English version
The articles are first written in Japanese and then translated into English. Facts, numbers and dates are the same in both versions. Most of the sources are Japanese pages; when we quote them, we keep the original Japanese and add an English translation. Place names are written as on road signs, with the Japanese name in brackets so you can match them with signs and car navigation.
About videos
Articles are made first with text and maps. Driving videos will be made for the most-read articles first. In articles with a video, you can jump from a point's heading to that scene.
Please note
Road conditions change. Before you go, also check the latest restrictions and construction information from road administrators. The articles are meant to be read before driving or by passengers.

This site is run by an individual who collects information useful for people driving in Ehime. We do not pass on individual requests to the offices or facilities mentioned in the articles.
